Modern Slavery Statement
The organisation is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms across our operations and supply chain. This modern slavery statement outlines our approach, expectations and actions. Our zero-tolerance policy is clear: any form of forced labour, bonded labour, human trafficking or exploitation will not be tolerated under any circumstances.Policy and Commitment
We maintain a robust Anti-Slavery Policy that reinforces our commitment to ethical conduct. All staff and partners must comply with the policy and the accompanying code of conduct. We promote a culture where workers are treated with dignity and respect, wages and working hours meet legal standards, and recruitment practices are free from fees or coercion. This anti-modern-slavery policy is embedded in procurement and HR procedures.
Supply Chain Due Diligence
We carry out targeted due diligence across our supplier network to identify and mitigate slavery risks. Our supplier risk assessment process includes:- screening suppliers for high-risk geographies and sectors;
- on-site and remote audits to verify labour practices;
- contractual clauses requiring compliance with anti-slavery standards;
- corrective action plans where non-compliance is found.
We operate a programme of supplier audits and monitoring. Audits are a mix of announced and unannounced visits conducted by trained auditors and, where appropriate, third-party specialists. Audit outcomes inform risk ratings and influence sourcing decisions. Where problems are identified we require suppliers to implement remediation plans and track progress until satisfactory resolution; termination of supply may follow persistent failure to comply.
Training and awareness are essential to our prevention strategy. All procurement, HR and frontline managers receive mandatory training on modern slavery risks and detection. We provide targeted supplier briefings and expect suppliers to cascade equivalent training to their own workforce. Education and clear reporting channels are central to preventing exploitation before it escalates.
We provide secure and confidential reporting channels for workers, suppliers and third parties to raise concerns. Our whistleblowing mechanisms include anonymous hotlines, designated internal reporting paths and protection measures to guard against retaliation. Reports are investigated promptly and impartially, and outcomes are documented. We use lessons learned to strengthen prevention and remediation across the organisation.
Transparency and continuous improvement drive our efforts. We publish supplier expectations, review contractual performance and work collaboratively with key partners to reduce systemic risks. We focus on vulnerable worker groups and supply chain tiers where visibility is limited. Our procurement teams apply risk-based supplier segmentation and remedial engagement to lift standards.
Annual Review and Governance
Our board and senior management oversee the implementation of this modern slavery and human trafficking statement. We conduct an annual review of policies, risk assessments, supplier audit results and remediation outcomes. This review informs the annual action plan and resource allocation for anti-slavery initiatives, ensuring strategic oversight and accountability at the highest level.
